As part of Strahan’s Winter Solstice Weekend celebrations, indulge in the ultimate Tasmanian pairing dinner experience at View 42° Restaurant & Bar. Perched high above the wild beauty of Macquarie Harbour, this immersive evening brings together the very best of Tasmania’s wine, beer, spirits and local produce in an unforgettable five course dinner.

“Battle of the Barrel” brings together Tasmania’s leading cool-climate wine producers including Swallow Wines, alongside the craftsmanship of Hobart Brewing Company in a multicourse pairing experience where guests explore the contrast, harmony and personality of wine versus beer.

This is not simply a wine dinner. It is a journey through Tasmania in a glass. From sparkling coastal oysters and aromatic whites, through rich textural wines and a Pinot Noir masterclass, finishing with decadent Tasmanian stout and espresso martinis — every course has been designed to showcase Tasmania’s unique food and beverage culture.
